Belinda is an accomplished lawyer and a Director at Morrissey Law and Advisory. Belinda has significant experience in all areas of construction and infrastructure law, in both advisory and contentious matters. Uniquely informed by her extensive construction litigation experience, Belinda works closely with her clients to build project relationships, analyse and understand risk, and minimise disputes.
Belinda lectures at the University of Newcastle in Construction Law for the School of Built Environment and provides training to clients and industry bodies in all areas of construction law, including contract management and Security of Payment legislation.
Before becoming a lawyer, Belinda worked as a social worker for acute mental health and sexual assault services. Belinda applies the same qualities she learned as a social worker in resolving legal issues – empathy, common sense, humour, and teamwork.
